Canton Basel-Stadt's civil engineering office wanted to introduce BIM without creating extra work for already stretched teams. Jaud IT helped make that possible.
The work started with contracts and standards, not software. Jaud IT reviewed BIM contractual documents for both the client and contractor side, built software integrations, and contributed to the standardization work behind the project's IDMs — Information Delivery Manuals written to SN EN ISO 29481. These pin down roles, data flows, and interface requirements in one place so every project team, tool, and contractor operates from the same rulebook.

One outcome from that groundwork: GIS-based project baselines now feed automatically into the CDE. Teams no longer pull spatial data by hand at the start of each project.
The project was published as a contributed article in Hier steckt BIM drin! 2025, an annual publication by buildingSMART Deutschland that documents real-world BIM projects by its members.
