About Štefan Jaud — Managing Director
Štefan Jaud, M.Sc., is a civil engineer by training, a researcher by inclination, and a consultant by practice.
He studied civil engineering at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, and received his Master's degree from the Technical University of Munich, where he is currently pursuing a doctorate at the Chair for Computer-Based Modeling and Simulation. His doctoral research focuses on "Georeferencing and BIM" - a topic that directly shapes Jaud-IT's expertise in complex projects.
Before founding Jaud-IT, Štefan gained professional experience at Obermeyer and Siemens as a product developer, and served as a team member and validation leader on a series of international IFC standards projects:
- IFC Bridge
- IFC Road
- IFC Tunnel
- IFC Rail
- IFC Infra Extensions Deployment
These projects extended the IFC open standard to cover infrastructure disciplines — work that underpins how infrastructure BIM is now practiced internationally.
